Another warrant against Tuhin Malik

A court here on Wednesday issued a warrant for the arrest of Supreme Court lawyer Dr Tuhin Malik in a case filed for his ‘disparaging’ remarks about Biswa Ijtema.
Passing the order, judge of the Mymensingh Cognisance Court-1 Ahsan Habib fixed March 23 for the next hearing.
Earlier in the day, organising secretary of district Awami League Mamtaz Uddin filed the case against Dr Tuhin Malik.
In his case statement, the ruling party leader alleged that the Supreme Court lawyer described the Biswa Ijtema as a ‘picnic spot on the bank of the Turag River’ while taking part in a talk show aired at a private television channel on January 9.
Earlier on Tuesday, a Dhaka court issued a warrant for the arrest of Tuhin Malik in a sedition case filed for making ‘disparaging’ remarks on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members.
