Charbogi Chowdhuripara Government Primary School collapsed on Thursday by Kalabadar River erosion at Word-1 of Sreepur union under Mehendiganj upazila of Barishal.
The school building was constructed in 2017 with a tin-shed structure. It created enthusiasm among the local people. River bank was far from the constructed school building. More than two hundred students were enrolled for the institution.
However continuous erosion advanced to the institution in last two years and on Thursday eroded the school building but furniture were already removed fearing destruction, upazila primary education office sources said.
