All preparations for Eid-ul- Azha Jamaats (congressional prayers) scheduled to be held on Friday has been completed in Barisal. All the mosques committee announced the scheduled of Eid jamat after the daily prayers on Wednesday. The main Eid Jamat in Barisal city will be held on Hemayet Uddin Eidgah Maidan at 8:30 am with participation of the BCC Mayor, local lawmaker, socio – political personalities, high-ranking government officials as well as general mass and female worshipers.
Central Eidgah authority started its decoration and preparation works from Tuesday, said Mawlana Kazi Abul Mannan, president of Jatiya Imam Samity Barisal unit. Besides more than 150 Eid Jamat would be held this year all over the Barisal city area.
Double Eid Jamats arranged in the city centers at Zame Ebaedullah mosque, Zame Kasai mosque, Baitul Mokarram Mosque, Zame Nuria School Mosque, Police Line Mosque between 7:30 – 9:30 am, Mawlana Kazi Abul Mannan added.
Other main Eid prayers of the city would be held in BM College, Rice Research institute, Zilla School, B M School, Khaza Mainuddin Madrasa, Kashipur High School, Steamer Ghat, Amanatganj Power House, Harinafulia, Jailgate, Puran Bakla, Bazar Road, Brown Compound, Sikdar Para, Sagordi Bazar, A Kader Chowdhury School Ground, Natun Bazar, Battala, Tablig Jamat Markaj, Kawnia Akon Mosque, Sadhur Battala Ground,Mahmudia Madrasha Fakir Bari mosque, Roads and Highways, Chandmari, C and B, Khan Sharok, Anjumane Hemayete Islam ground, Kazipara, Sagordi Madrasha, Port Road and other mosques arranged Eid prayer between 8 to 8-30 AM on Eid-day.
Except these main Eid Jamats of the city other large Eid prayers of the region would be held at Guthia Baitul Aman Mosque, Charmonai Darbar Sharif under Barisal, Nesarabad Darbar Sharif under Jhalakathi, Sharshina Darbar Sharif under Pirojpur, Mirzaganj Mazar Sharif under Patuakhali and Mokamia Madrasha ground under Barguna districts between 8:00-9:30 am.
Many small Eid Jamat would be arranged at almost all local mosques, Jatiya Imam Samity Sources said.
