Police and members of Border Guard (BGB) recovered 3,740 bullets, believed to be hidden during the Liberation War in 1971, from a house at Pathorer Char village in Dewanganj upazila on Thursday.
Local labourers found a sack while digging soil for constructing a toilet in the house of local physician
Masudur Rahman around 12pm. The found the sack full of bullets when opened it and informed police, said officer-in-charge of Dewanganj police station Mizanur Rahman.
On information, BGB members and police rushed to spot and recovered the bullets.
