Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun on Thursday said that the government has embarked on a plan to set up offices of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) at district-level across the country.
“BSTI is playing a vital role in ensuring safe food for people. The government is planning to set up BSTI offices at district level for reaching its’ services to the doorsteps of people,” he said while speaking at a discussion in the capital.
Bangladesh Institute of Administration and Management (BIAM) Foundation organised the discussion. Earlier, the Industries Minster inaugurated the BSTI Cox’s Bazar district office.
