AIBL, SBAC announce cash dividend for 2019

Two banks, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd and South Bangla Agriculture and Commerce (SBAC) Bank Limited, have recommended 13 percent and 10 percent respectively cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2019 subject to the approval of the Annual General Meetings (AGM).
According to AIBL press release, the decision was taken in the 348th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bank on Sunday via video conference. Abdus Samad Labu, Chairman of the Board presided over the virtual meeting also decided that the 25th Virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bank would be held on September 3, 2020 and Record Date will be July 30, 2020.
Vice Chairman Md Abdus Salam, Members Hafez Md Enayetullah, Salim Rahman, Md Liakat Ali Chowdhury, Md Amir Uddin PPM, Nazmul Ahsan Khaled, Abdul Malek Mollah, Md Harun-Ar-Rashid Khan, Md Anowar Hossain, Badiur Rahman, Engr Kh Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Ahamedul Hoque, Abu Naser Mohammad Yeahea, Niaz Ahmed, Mohammed Emadur Rahman, Badsha Meah, Mohammed Haroon, M Kamaluddin Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO Farman R Chowdhury and Senior Executive Vice President and Company Secretary Md Mahmudur Rahman, among others, were present.
Meanwhile, the board of directors of South Bangla Agriculture and Commerce (SBAC) Bank Limited has recommended 10 percent stock dividend for the shareholders for the year 2019 subject to approval of the 7th Annual General Meeting of the Bank.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the board of directors through virtually on Mondaywith its Chairman S M Amzad Hossain in the chair.
Bank’s Vice-Chairman Talukdar Abdul Khaleque and Managing Director & CEO Tariqul Islam Chowdhury, among others, attended the meeting.
The meeting approved the audited financial statements for the period ended December 31, 2019. The board also decided to hold 7th Annual General Meeting of the bank on August 18, 2020.
