Rural and Agriculture loan openly distributed by BASIC Bank, Saidpur has distributed rural and agriculture loan among the marginal farmers and distressed people at a function at ShaheedTulshiram Road on Sunday .
Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh Bank, Rangpur Zone, Jayanta Kumar Bonik was the Chief Guest of the programme .
Assistant Manager of BASIC Bank, Head Office Abu Daud Md. Ferdous, Agriculture Officer of FaidpurUpazila HomairaMondol, Education Officer of SaidpurUpazilaAhsanHabib, Councilor of Saidpur Municipality Md. ErshadHossainPappu and industrialist Gokul Kumar Poddar spoke as the special guest .
Manager of BASIC Bank, Saidpur Md. Shafiqul Islam presided over the programme.
The chief guest Jayanta Kumar Banik said, Bangladesh is based on agriculture. About 80% people depend on agriculture for their livelihood and the present government is helping the farmers with loan at a very low rate of interest.
He also said, at present Bangladesh Bank has taken various initiatives for easy distribution of rural and agriculture loan among the farmers.
