Afghanistan face UAE in 1st qualifier tomorrow

Afghanistan will take on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the first qualifying group match of the 13th Asia Cup T20I at Fatullah’s Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium (KSOAS) tomorrow (Friday).
The match will start at 1:30pm.
In another qualifying round day-night match at the same venue on Friday, Hong Kong will face Oman at 6:00pm.
The champion of the four-team qualifying league will join the main round of the tournament along with the four – host Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and defending champion Sri Lanka- all Asian Test playing nations.
The main round will start on February 24 with hosts Bangladesh taking on India at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur.
The final of the five-team South Asian T20I, embracing Twenty20 format for the first time, will be held at SNBNCS on March 6.
Fixture of the remaining qualifying round matches:
February 20: 3rd Match – Afghanistan vs Oman: 1:30pm; (KSOAS).
February 21: 4th Match – Hong Kong vs UAE: 6:00pm; (KSOAS).
February 22: 5th Match – Afghanistan vs Hong Kong: 1:30pm; (SBNCS).
February 22: 6th Match – Oman vs UAE: 6:00pm (SBNCS).
