The National Board of Revenue has sought information on bank accounts maintained by two former high officials of Public Works Department (PWD) for their alleged link with GK Shamim, who was arrested on Friday on several charges, including tender manipulation and money-laundering.
NBR sent a letter to the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) on Tuesday, seeking account information of former PWD Chief Engineer Mohammad Rafiqul Islam and Additional Chief Engineer Abdul Hai.
