Abducted girl rescued in M’bazar

After seven days of abduction, police on Friday rescued a girl and arrested the prime accused on Saturday.
. On 2nd August night abductors kidnapped 14 year-old girl from Mohammadnagor village in the Srimangal Upazila of the district.
 Acting on a tip-off, police launched a raid at a house of Guho road of Srimangal village in Sadar Upazila at 12am on Friday and rescued the girl, said Abdul Jalil, officer-in-Charge of Srimangal Police Station.
They also arrested the key suspect Md Alamin Ahmed from the house Borogaon village under Bahubol Upazila of Habiganj district, the OC said. Alamin allegedly hired professional abductors from Srimangal Upazila for the mission, the police officer said. “They commit such crimes in exchange of money,” the OC added.
According to locals and the family members, a gang of 14 to 15 criminals led by Md Alamin Ahmed of the same Upazila went to the girl’s house with a hired microbus around 10pm.
