A Garment employee killed in Morrelganj

Police of Morrelganj PS recovered a dead body of a young man from a canal in the village Bhatkhali within Putikhali Union Parisahd under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as one Abu Hanif Fakir (25) from village Purbo Kharaikhali within the same Union. It is claimed by his relatives, being failed to know the pin number of his (deceased) Bkash account, his close friends killed him on the night of Wednesday and threw the dead body into a nearby canal.
It is stated that deceased Abu Hanif Fakir was a garment employee. In the middle of corona pandemic he lost his job and returned home. In this connection mother of the deceased registered a murder case with Morrelganj PS accusing a number of unidentified assailants.
Police of Morrelganj PS arrested three youths and recovered a big knife (Daa) used in the murder, according to their statement. But the mobile phone could not be recovered.
The arrested youths are Tarikul Sardar (20), Badal Shaikh (30) and Sakib Shaikh (19) from the village Bhatkhali. They all were sent to Bagerhat Court on Friday at 2 pm.
Monirul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Morrelganj PS said that, in the primary investigation it was revealed that deceased Abu Hamif Fakir used to work in a garment factory in Chottogrtam as an employee. But due to outbreak of COVID-19 in the country, he lost his job.
The deceased was expecting that about a sum of cash one Taka would be sent to him through his Bkash account by the garment factory. The assailants, somehow, got the sense of it. On the night of Wednesday the killers called him out of his house very tactfully.
Then they snatched away his mobile phone and tried to know the pin number of his Bkash account.
As they failed to know the pin number they brutally stabbed him to death. The Officer added, police are still trying to arrest other culprits involve in the murder.
