A total of eight people were detected positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 1,662 samples in 10 Covid-19 laboratories in Chattogram district.
The total number of recovered patients from the deadly virus rose to 93,132 with the curing of 108 more people during the last 24 hours.
Dr Ilias Chowdhury, civil surgeon of Chattogram district, said the percentage of recovery rate is 91.18.
Chattogram district recorded lowest Covid-19 positivity rate of 0.48 percent while only eight fresh cases were reported during the last 24 hours till Friday morning.
With the newly infected cases, the number of total coronavirus (COVID-19) patients now stands at 102,453 in the district.
The death toll steady at 1,331 in the district while no new death was recorded during the last 24 hours.
A total of 405 infected patients are now undergoing treatment at different designated hospitals here, the sources added.
