Sports Reporter :After draw in the rain-disrupted first Test match against South Africa at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on July 25, the roaring Tigers will take on the touring Proteas in the second and final Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur today. Private satellite channel GTV will telecast the match live from 9.30 am.Before competing in the second Test match, Bangladesh team and South Africa team took part at their respective practice sessions at the venue on Wednesday.Captain of Bangladesh team Mushfiqur Rahim said, “Bangladesh team showed a consistent performance recently. Bangladesh performed well in both formats (Test and ODI). It gives us confidence. If we can apply our ability properly, the result of the match will come in favour of us. Even, we can win the series.”Mushfiqur said, “Our bowlers have confidence that if they can maintain line and length, they can dismiss South Africa for a modest total. The batsmen also performed well in the first Test. Tamim, Shakib, Litton, Riyad batted well in the first Test. Our Target in the second Test is to bat well against South Africa. The bowling attack of them is strong. If we can perform like first Test, we can get better result in Dhaka.”Captain of South Africa team Hashim Amla said, “We want to make a good start. If we can start well, we shall go to a good position. After that, we shall want to win. We shall play for win.”Hashim said, “The first Test was washed out by rain. If rain did not wash out the match, it is tough to say what would be the result of the match. Our cricketers are eager to play the second Test. We have good records in the sub-continent. But it is difficult to play here. The weather is hot.
