Moazzem Pramanik, 48, son of late Ziaur Pramanik from village Tollatolla under Gabtoli upazila was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants on July 13 when he was returning home with some money from Berebari under Dhunot police station, family sources said.

21, Abdul Kafi, 22, Al Amin, 21, Abdur Rahim, 20, Ibrahim, 22, and Rashedul Islam alias Biplob, 24. Biplob is General Secretary of Nosipur Union Awami League.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Gabtoli thana police in plain-clothes led by Additional Superintendent of Police of Bogra Md. Arifur Rahman Mondol arrested the accused from different places of Bogra.
Local people alleged that deceased Moazzem Pramanik was a famous gambling leader and money broker of Gabtoli and adjacent area. He used to give loan to the local ruling party leaders. But they were unhappy with Moazzem for not giving money for some days. Family members suspected that it might be the reason of death. But police refused the allegation.
