Staff Reporter :Detective Branch (DB) of police in separate drives seized fake currency notes making raw materials and counterfeit notes worth around Tk 50 lakh and arrested six persons in the capital on Saturday night. The arrested persons have been identified as Babul Sheikh, Ferdous Ali, Lutfor Rahman, Mohammad Kabir, Foysal Mollah and Mohiuddin Khan.Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman confirmed the news in a press briefing at the Media Centre on Minto Road in the capital at 11:00amHe said that DB members conducted separate drives in the city’s Badda and Rampura areas and arrested them and recovered fake currency notes.The arrested persons have confessed to the police that they were involved with making fake notes, the DC said. They are being interrogated in this connection, the police official said.
