The 59th birth anniversary of writer , columnist and journalist SM Jamaluddin was observed at Hathazari native village recently.
Jamaluddin hails from Fatika ward of Hathazari Pourashava under Hathazari upazila and was born in a respective muslim family of Fatika village on 1st January , 1959. His father late Sona Miah Chowdhury was a reputed social personality and knowledge enriched person.
Jamaluddin achieved Bachelor degree in 1982 and entered in the media world since then.
He started his journalism profession from weekly Jana Katha of Dhaka and last one performed the responsibility of Bureau chief of Khabarpatra. Now he is performing as Bureau Chief of Daily Dhaka publishing from Dhama.
President of Independent Newspapers Readers Samity SM Jamaluddin recived a number of certificates and awards from different media organization including Press Institute of Bangladesh . He was the one the founder of Hathazari Press Club . He worked in a number of newspapers so published from Dhaka and Chattogram.
In the birth anniversary a number of intellectuals , writers , journalists, social personalities were present in his Hathazari residence, correspondent sources said.
