50 kgs venison, 3 skins and a head of the spotted deer of Sundarbans were recovered from a canal area of the forest by the members of the coastguards at Thursdaynight, according to a delayed report received here.
Lt. Abdullah-al-Mamun. Detective Officer of Bangladesh Coastguards deployed Mongla told on Friday noon, a contingent of the coastguards was discharging their normal patrol duties in Kumrakhali canal area of Sundarbans. At that time the members of the coastguards found 50 kgs venison, 3 skins and one head of deer ready for sale. Then they recovered those from there.
But being the sense of the appearance of the coastguards the poachers managed to escape. Later the recovered flesh, skins and head of deer were handed over to Shibsha forest office for taking necessary action.
