‘5-star standard’ hotel opened in Cox’s Bazar

Sayeman Beach Resort, a ‘five-star standard’ hotel, has commenced operation in Cox’s Bazar.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon inaugurated the 228-room beach-facing hotel at Marine Drive on Kolatoli Beach Thursday, said a press release.
According to the release, the hotel consists of 16 ‘panorama ocean’ suites with 180-degree view of the Bay of Bengal, 36 ‘sea view’ deluxe suites and 176 ‘sea view and hill view’ rooms.
All the rooms are equipped with all modern amenities such as LCD TV, air conditioning, water heating system and room controller, it says.
Sayeman Beach Resort is owned and operated by a third-generation business family that has been running another hotel, Sayeman, in Cox’s Bazar since 1964.
Hotel’s Managing Director Mahboob Rahman said: “Services, amenities and comfort that guest will enjoy at Sayeman Beach Resort will be unparalleled to any other hotels in Cox’s Bazar.”
Housing and Public Works Minister Mosharraf Hossain attended the ceremony as the special guest.
