UNB, Dhaka :Five people, including three motorcyclists, were killed in separate accidents in the city’s Malibagh Chowdhury Para Airport, Khilgaon and Khilkhet areas on Wednesday.Four of the deceased were identified as Mehedi Hasan alias Noyon, 37, son of Abdul Jalil of 444 Dakkhin Paikpara in Mirpur, Md Mainuddin, 18, Ashiqur Rahman Shanta, 20, and Sultan Khan, 65.Earlier at about 3:15 pm, a Tongi-bound bus of ‘Turag Paribahan’ from Jatrabari ran over Sultan Khan when he was crossing the road in front of South Asian School and College at Malibagh Chowdhury Para, killing him on the spot.Confirming the accident, SI Tukunuzzaman of Joyghoga village in the upazila was killed when a thunderbolt struck him in the evening.Besides, Hazera Khatun alias Tukila, 25, wife of Shahidul Islam of Darpara village, was killed by lightning strike while working in a field.Meanwhile, Naznin Akter, wife of Bhashan of Chuamallikpara village, was killed when a thunderbolt struck her while she was sitting at the courtyard of her house around 7 pm.
