At the night of Saturday (Feb.8) as many as 5 cattle head were lifted from Adaghat and Sonakur villages under Rampal Upazila in Bagerhat district, according to a delayed report received here. The market price of the lifted cattle heads is about Tk.3 lakh.
It is learnt from the locals that at the night of occurrence an well organized gang of cow lifters broke the lock of the cowshed belonging to one Hossain Shaikh of village Sonakur and lifted 3 cattle heads from there and 2 from the cowshed belonging to one Gias Shaikh of village Adaghat.
But it could not be known wheatear any case was lodged with the locl PS or not in this connection.
