4 injured in CU BCL infighting

At least 4 students were injured in a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League over establishing supremacy on Chittagong University campus on Sunday.
Supporters of two groups-‘Choose Friend with Care (CFC)’ and ‘sixty nine group’, both are shuttle-train based BCL groups- attacked each other on the campus leaving at least 4 students injured, campus sources said.
The clash ensued between the two BCL factions at Ladies Jupri and Social Science Faculty on the campus at around 1:30pm.Activities of both groups involved in clash over establishing supremacy on campus.After spreading the news, both groups gathered at Shah Amanat hall and Shah Jalal hall and threw bricks each-other and 4 activities of both groups were injured on spot.
The injured are Mehedi Hasan, Parvej and Mohan of Accounting department under 2018-19 academic session and Mehrab Uddin of Chemistry department under 2017-18 academic session.
CU BCL Secretary Iqbal Tipu said that a misunderstanding occurred among junior activities. We are trying to solve the problem.
Contracted, CU Proctor SM Monirul Hasan said that some activities involved in a clash. Hearing the news we rushed to the spot and controlled the situation. We are closely observing the situation and deployed additional police forces, to avoid untoward incident.
