A mobile court here on Tuesday fined three rice traders Tk30,000 for using non-biodegradable plastic sacks instead of jute sacks for rice packaging at Trimohoni in Keshabpur upazila.
The mobile court, led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sharif Raihan Kabir, conducted a drive in the area in the evening and fined Sonali Rice Mill Tk20,000, Agrani Traders Tk 5,000 and Jani Enterprise Tk5,000 for using plastic sacks.
Sharif Raihan Kabir said the three traders were fined for violating the government order of using jute sacks.
