Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained three suspected militants of the “Sarwar-Tamim group” of the banned outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from a mango orchard of Bablabon in Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila on Sunday mornng.
The detained men are Mohammad Jenarul Islam alias Moin, 25, Mohammad Rasul Box, 50, and Mohammad Islam, 70, said our Chapainawabganj correspondent quoting Mohammad Sayeed Abdullah Murad, Squadron Leader and Commander of the RAB-5 Camp.
“A team of RAB launched the drive around 4:00am acting on a tip-off that a group of Neo-JMB activists were holding a meeting in the mango orchard. The elite force team recovered one pistol, one magazine, three bullets, 1.1kg gunpowder and some Jihadi books from their possession,” the RAB official said.
We have interrogated them to gather more information, he said.
A case was filed with the police station in this connection, he added.
