UNB, Gazipur :Three people, including a college student, were killed and six others injured as a train crashed into a pickup van at a level crossing at Maijpara in Sreepur upazila on Thursday morning.The deceased were identified as Shikhar,21, an honours third year student of Bhawal Badre Alam Government College and a resident of Niguari village under Pagla thana of Mymensingh district, Mostafa,55, an ice cream trader and a resident of Gafargaon upazila of the district, and Jahangir Alam,30, a resident of Golaghat area of Sreepur upazila of Gazipur district.Witnesses said, the Dhaka-bound commuter train from Jamalpur hit the pickup van, parked beside the level crossing, around 10:45am, leaving the three train passengers, who were standing at the entrance of a compartment, dead and six others injured. The injured were admitted to Sreepur health complex.
