UNB, Faridpur :
Police arrested three arms traders in possession of two 9MM pistols and seven rounds of bullet from Chowk Bazar area in the district town early Wednesday.
The arrestees were identified as Himachal Basu,25, Arup Basu,35, and Pushpa Basu,45.
Kamruzzaman, assistant superintendent of police, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a raid at the house of Himachal Basu in the area at about 12:30 am and arrested the trio.
Police also recovered two 9MM pistols and seven rounds of bullet from their possession.
The arrestees have been involved in arms trading for long, said police.
A case was filed against them under the Arms Act.
