About 250 Eid congregations were held in the port city of Chittagong on Thursday amid religious fervor and much enthusiasm .
Two Eid jamaats were organised at Baitul Falah Mosque at 7 am and 8 am .
Under the auspices of the City corporation and the Central Eid Jamaat committee , two main eid congregation were held at Jamiatul Falah mosque and MA Aziz stadium adjacent green ground respectively.
Chittagong Central Eid Jamaat Committee (CCEJC) has arranged a total of 93 Eid congregations at different venues in the port city beside the main congregation . All 93 Eid congregations under the CCEJC held between 8 am and 8.30 am.
The main Eid congregation of CCEJC was held at MA Aziz stadium at 8 am where Principal of the Baitus Sharaf Madrasha Moulana Saiyed Abu Noman led the jamaat.
Meanwhile, CCC arranged a total of 157 Eid congregations at its 41 Ward under the supervision of the respective ward Councilors.
However, the two grand Eid Jamaats under the auspices of CCC held at Jamiatul Falah Complex Mosque at 8 am and 8.30 am respectively.
The first Jamaat conducted by Khatib of the Mosque Principal Mowlana Mohammad Jalaluddin Al Quadery and the second one will be led by Mowlana Nur Mohammad Sadeque.
Minister for Expatriates welfare Nurul Islam, BSc, City Mayor A Z M Nasir uddin, President of Chittagong City Awami League Alhaj A B M Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Mezbah Uddin, former Ministers Abdullah Al Noman, Amir Kasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Jafrul Islam Chowdhury, other politicians and leaders of professional groups participate in the main congregations at Jamiatulfalah Mosque and M A Aziz stadium venue.
