At least 20 people were injured as a mad dog bit them in Chowgacha upazila of Jessore district on Sunday.
The injured were admitted to the upazila health complex.
Locals said the mad dog bit 20 people in wards no. 2, 4 and 7 of the municipal area on the day.
Later, locals after a hot chase caught the dog and beat it to death.
Abu Sayeed Raju, assistant health official of the upazila health complex, confirmed the incident.
