A court in Chittagong convicted two accused with double life terms for alleged raping a juvenile after abduction. Judge of Chittagong Women & Child Repression Tribunal-1 Md. Rezaul Karim announced the verdicts yesterday and at the same fined for Tk.1.50 each .
The convicts are : Mamunur Rashid(27) a nd Delwar Hossain(27) , both hail from Banskhali upazila . PP of the tribunal Advocate Jesmin Akhter admitted the verdicts against these two rapists. Both the convicts remained absconding since the abduction of the juvenile. Court sources said one juvenile was picked up forcibly in a CNG taxi from Bailgaon Marium Bari area on October 20 , 2010 and raped her in phases .
Later , elder brother of the juvenile lodged a kidnap case before the banskhali thana on October 22, 2010 . Court took depositions of 5 witnesses in the case and finally announced these verdicts recently.
