Saad murder at BAU: Murderers still at large

The murderers of Saad Ibn Momtaz of the Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mymensingh who was killed three years ago, are yet to be punished.
Saad Ibne Momtaz, 21, was a fourth year student of Fisheries Faculty of BAU and also the Organizing Secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Ashraful Haque Hall Unit.
On 31 March night, 2014, some of his fellows beat him brutally in his dormitory. The next day on April 1, he succumbed to his injuries at Private clinic of Mymensingh town. After his death, students are erupted in protest in the campus and boycotted classes exams more than one month.
In the face of their demand, on 9 April 2014, BAU authorities expelled three students Rezaul Karim, Sujoy Kumar Kundu and Rukonuzzaman Rukon and also suspended more three Nazmul Shahadat, Dewan Mohammad Muntaka Mufrad and Antar Chowdhury in different terms accused involvement of the murder.
The BAU authorities filed a murder case with Mymensingh Kotwali police station and police also submitted a charge sheet against 14 accused involving in the murder. All of them are BAU unit BCL leaders and activists. But the universities agitating students and teachers were unhappy with the expulsion and continued agitation against the decision of the authorities.
