Two local leaders of Jubo League were killed in a road accident in Joka area on Dhaka- Aricha highway in Ghior upazila on Saturday morning.
The deceased were identified as Rubel, 23, organizing secretary of
Baniajuri union unit Jubo League and son of Ibrahim Mia and Sobzel, 25, publicity secretary of the Jubo League unit and son of Munser Ali of Tora village of the upazila.
Quoting witnesses highway police said the accident took place when the Patuakhali-bound bus of Eagle Paribahan hit the motorcycle carrying Rubel and Sobzel around 11:30am, leaving both of them dead on the spot.
