BSS, Chittagong :
Officials of the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) arrested two drug peddlers and seized 1,000 pieces of Yaba from Muradpur area under Panchliash thana in the city on Tuesday noon.
On secret information, a team of DNC detained the drug peddlers Nurul Amin,24 and Mohammad Ramij,23 at around 3 pm and recovered the Yaba after searched their body.
In the preliminary interrogation, the arrested confessed to the DNC officials that they had been smuggling the contraband Yaba tablets in the port city for long.
The arrested were handed over to Panchliash thana and a case was filed in this connection.
