Cocaine scandal: 2 given confessional statement

Two accused among six detained in the cocaine scandal of Chittagong have given confessional statement before the court under section-164.
 Court sources said first Manager of Prime Hatchery Golam Mustafa Sohel given statement and next Mehdi Alam of a Security organization.
 Metropolitan Magistrate Farid Alam recorded their statement . Asstt. Police commissioner(Prosecution) of CMP Kazi Muttaki Ibne Minan told that the contents of the statements could not be known immediately.
 Sources said so far six persons allegedly involved with the import oil mixed cocaine were arrested in the meantime.
 The detained are- Golam Mostafa Sohel, AK Azad, Atiqur Rahman, Mehdi Alam, Saiful Islam and Mostafa Kamal.
 The detained were granted police remand with different terms several times for quizzing. Mentionable that Customs Intelligence officials sealed off one edible oil laden container on June 6 last where 107 drums of oil were found inside the container when it opens on June 8 last.
 After several chemical tests of the edible oil, presence of cocaine traced in one drum . Later on June 28, a case under Narcotics act under section 19(kha) was filed before the court by Bandar thana SI Osman Gani as plaintiff, sources said.
