2 expelled, 238 absent in SSC Exams

Two students were expelled for adopting unfair means and a total of 238 candidates were absent from Mathematics examination in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination under Chittagong Education Board (CEB) on Friday.
CEB control room sources said the examination in five districts under CEB was held peacefully, amid tight security and no untoward incident was reported from any examination hall under CEB.
A student was expelled from Naniyar Char High School examination center in Rangamati Hill District while another was expelled from Kuyesh Budischar Sommeloni High School examination center in Hathazari of Chittagong for adopting unfair means in the examination, said CEB examinations controller Mahbub Hassan.
Besides, a total of 238 examinees out of 84 thousand 514 were absent from Mathematics examination today, he added. CEB formed a total of 55 vigilance teams consisting of teachers and magistrates to check any sort of unfair means or irregularities during the examination. A total of 84 thousand 276 students out of 84 thousand 514 appeared from 981 high schools through 159 centers under CEB.
Meanwhile, 28 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were also deployed at different examination centers to ensure security of the examinees, board sources said.
