Two students of Dhaka University (DU) Geography and Environment Department were awarded “AQM Mohiuddin Memorial Trust Fund Scholarship” for their outstanding academic results in BS Honours examination of 2013.
Awardees are Yasin Wahid Rabby and Nazmoon Nahar Sumiya.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed the scholarship as the chief guest at a function at his office.
DU Treasurer Professor Md Kamal Uddin presided over the function while Chairman of Geography and Environment Department Prof Md Abdur Rob, Trustee of the Fund Prof Naznin Afrose Haq and acting Registrar Syed Rezaur Rahman were present on the occasion.
Prof Siddique urged the students to make themselves enlightened human being to ensure socio-economic development of the country.
Dr Naznin Afrose Haq, Professor Geography and Environment Department gave the donation for setting up “AQM Mohiuddin Memorial Trust Fund” at the university in memory of her father.
