Bangladesh Railway has taken initiatives to make popular of train journey in all branch lines . In the meantime, services have been introduced in Chittagong -Nazirhat and Ctg-Dohazari track .
To provide better communications for commuters, one pair of Demu train will run between Chittagong -Nazirhat route twice daily. Public Relations office of Bangladesh Railway, east zone, sources said the Diesel Electric Multiple Units (DEMU) train left Chittagong Railway Station of the city for Nazirhat around 6.30 am.
“It will return at the same station at 11 am after completing its trip”, he said adding that it was the second pair DEMU train plying on Chittagong-Nazirhat route.
Sources said this DEMU service is aimed at ensuring comfortable quick journey in short distances easing pressure on roads. Bangladesh Railway east zone has taken various initiatives to modernize the country’s railway sector and improve its service.
