Two people were killed after a boundary wall caved in on them near a construction site at Agrabad Debar Par area under the Double Mooring police station in Chattogram city at around 2 pm on Friday.
The deceased were identified as pedestrians Shahid Ulah, 70 and Al Amin, 30.
Shafiqul Islam, station officer at the Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defence told Dhaka Tribune that the wall collapsed on Shahid when he was returning home after Jumma prayers.

Shahid died on the spot, while Al Amin succumbed to his injuries at the Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
Meanwhile, Newton, deputy assistant director of Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defence, told Bangla Tribune: “An excavator was clearing up sand placed next to the boundary wall. So, initially, we suspect that the wall could have collapsed after being hit by the excavator.”
Assistant Sub Inspector Hamidur Rahman of the CMCH police outpost told Dhaka Tribune that three people were brought to the hospital after the incident.
“The on-duty doctor pronounced the elderly man dead upon arrival. Al Amin succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital,” he said.
The police and fire service officials are investigating the reasons behind the wall collapse.
