Staff Reporter :Three persons, including two police personnel were arrested from the city’s Matshya Bhaban intersection area when they were trying to snatch Tk one lakh from two police men on Monday. The arrested police members have been identified as Nur-e-Alam, Constable of Madaripur Police Line and Khalil, Sub-Inspector of Police Investigation Bureau (PIB).Police also arrested a man who was allegedly helped them snatch the money. They were handed over to Shahbagh thana after mass beating, police said. Shahbagh Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sirajul Islam said that they were detained by the mass people.Police recovered around Tk 78,000 from them, the police official said. He said that they used a car with police sticker as part of the camouflaging people.The detained persons snatched the money from Liton and Sunny, the OC said. A legal action would be taken against them, he added.
