2 children’s bodies recovered in Manikganj

The bodies of two children have been recovered from Sadar and Harirampurupazila of Manikganj. Police have recovered the body of a seven-year-old boy named Sinha Akhter from West Shanbanda village in Bhararia union of Sadarupazila on Saturday noon. Sinha is the daughter of Abdul Halim of that village. Halim said Sinha had not been found since Friday afternoon. His body was found in a jackfruit orchard half kilometer away from his house on Saturday morning.
ManikganjSadar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Akbar Ali Khan said, “The body was found wrapped in a towel around his neck.” The cause of death will be known after autopsy.
On the other hand, the body of a schoolboy named Abir Hossain (18) was recovered from Babupur-Gopalpur village of Chala union of Harirampurupazila around 8 am on Saturday.
Abir was son of Abdur Rashid of that village. Neighbors said, ‘There was a family quarrel as Abir’s father got married for the second time. It is believed that Abir may have committed suicide by hanging himself.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Harirampur Police Station Mueed Chowdhury said, “A case of unnatural death (UD) has been registered in Harirampur Police Station in this incident.”
