Azad Shaikh (28), Joint Secretary of Bisnupur Union Chhatra Dal under Bagerhat Sadar Upazila was stabbed to death by another Chatra Dal Leader named Rajib (20) of the same area at Bisnupur village Bazaar on Sunday the morning to establish his supremacy in the locality.
But it is the irony of fate that the stabber Rajib locally known as Kasai Rajib was gang beaten death by the agitated people of the area at the same place on the same day and almost at the same time. The death of those two Chatra Dal leaders were confirmed by Zahidul Islam, ASP of Bagerhat Sadar circle.
It is learnt from the locals that on the day at about 10-30 am ill-fated Chatra Dal leader Azad Shaikh, son of one Aziz Shaikh of village Bisnupur was staying at the bazaar. At that time killer Kasai Rajib, son of one Faruq Hossain of the same village appeared there and all on a sudden stabbed him repeatedly with a view to expand his supremacy in the locality.
