A total of fifteen meritorious students of Islamic University’s Arabic Language and Literature department were awarded ‘Professor M Moklesur Rahman scholarship’ for securing the highest CGPA in the honours and masters examination 2016 on Thursday.
The recipients are- Khalid Hasan, Rakibul Hassan, Nazimuddin, Nur Hossain, Abu Sayeed Noman, Azharul Islam, Mostain Billah, Sumaya, Nizam Uddin and Rahidul Islam in honours category while Yusuf Ali, Mustafizur Rahman, Salma Akther, Ellius and Alamgir of the department in masters, , a press release said.
Besides, Saifur Rahman received best debater award, Ruhul Amin and Abdul Wahab received best player award, Arifur Rahman received best actor award and Baki Billah received best singer award.
Earlier, the IU VC and Treasurer addressed as the chief guest and special guest respectively while Chairman of the department presided over the reception, farewell and scholarship giving ceremony.
