Members of the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) and police in separate drives arrested three persons with 11,000 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from city’s Kotwali and Baizid areas. The arrested were identified as Foisal, 22, Ridowan, 20, and Laila, 42.
Acting on secret information, the DNC team arrested Foisal with 4,000 pieces of Yaba tablets kept inside the peels of sugarcane from Alkoron area under city’s Kotwali Thana around 9:30pm yesterday, said Shamim Ahmed, deputy director of DNC, Chittagong Metro Zone.
