Customs authorities seized 2.8kg gold ornaments worth Tk 80 lakh from Shah Amanat International Airport of Chittagong yesterday morning.
Assistant Commissioner of customs Mashiur Rahman Mondol of the airport confirmed the matter to this correspondent yesterday . .
He said that they recovered the jewelleries around 9:30am searching a luggage of passenger Monoara Begum whose flight landed Chitagong Shah Amanat International Airport from Dubai in a Bangladesh Biman flight around 8:00am. None was arrested in this connection, sources said.
