1100 bottles of phensidyl seized from truck

Elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) is continuing the raids to nab the smugglers of phensidyl syrup on the Dhaka Chittagong Highway regularly. Following the special raids of RAB, a team of RAB nabbed three alleged drug dealers and recovered 1100 bottles of phensidyl syrup from a truck on the Dhaka Chittagong highway at Mostafa Oil Mills area at Bhatiari under Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong on Thursday morning. The arrested drug smugglers are identified as Mohammed Alamgir Hossain (55), son of Mohammed Tajul Islam and Mohammed Shafik Molla (62), son of Amin Uddin Molla.
Sources said, acting on a tip off, a team of RAB-7 raided the Dhaka Chittagong highway at Mostafa Oil Mills area at Bhatiari under Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong and recovered 1100 bottles of phensidyl syrup from a truck (number- Feni Metro-Ta-11-0511).
RAB officials said, the value of recovered 1100 bottles of phensidyl syrup would be around Tk 6 lakh. It may be mentioned that on June 2, RAB also nabbed three drug dealers and recovered 600 bottles of phensidyl syrup from a truck at Bariar Hat area under Mirerswari upazila in Chittagong. The arrested drug smugglers were identified as Mohammed Abdur Rahim (26), son of Mohammed Abul Hashem, Mohammed Harun (35), son of Serajul Islam, Mohammed Sumon Meah (32), son of Jahangir Alam.
