100 illegal structures evicted in Cox’s Bazar sea beach

A mobile court of Cox’s Bazar district administration yesterday in a drive demolished more than 100 illegal structures in Zaowbagan area of sea beach.
 Mohammed Abu Hasan Siddiq, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate of district administration led the mobile court accompanied by law enforcers and beach management committee officials.
Court sources said , a group of people, patronised by political activities and local criminals have built houses illegally in Zaowbagan areas since long.
Mohammed Ruhul Amin, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Cox’s Bazar said, Cox’s Bazar is a tourist city. Beach management authority planted Zaow trees on bank of sea beach for preventing erosion but a section of people build shanty houses and residents there illegally.
Besides, group of criminals also operate unethical activities in beach areas . on Wednesday district administration decided to launch eviction in the areas
However, authority of beach management and district administration evicted them. The mobile court started operation from 11am to 2:00pm yesterday.
