Largest online school, Robi-10 Minute School of Robi Axiata Ltd and the globally renowned development organization, Save the Children have signed a tripartite strategic partnership agreement with a view to provide education to girls using the digital platform.
Theagreement aims to enhance the skills in literacy and numeracy for the fourth and fifth grade girl students of Government primary schools in two Upazilas of Bangladesh under Save the Children’s ‘Empowering Girls Through Education (EGE)’ project.
Robi’s Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer (CCRO), Shahed Alam, Robi-10 Minute School Founder and CEO, Ayman Sadiq, and Save the Children’s Country Director, Mark Taylor signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizationsrecently at the country office of Save the Children in Gulshan.
Empowering Girls through Education (EGE) project of Save the Children in Bangladeshhas been designed to address the obstacles that forces girls to drop out of school while transitioning from primary to secondary education.
The project involves working with 8,738 girl students of grade IV and V from 120 Government primary schools from Rajarhat Upazila of Kurigram district and MadarganjUpazila of Jamalpur district. The Robi-10 Minute School’s digital education content will be used to make sure that these girls are provided quality educational content.
Throughout the project, a thorough impact study will be conducted to see how the beneficiaries of the project have improved in their studies.
It is expected that their improved academic performance brought about by the Robi-10 Minute School will encourage their parents and the girls to continue their education.
