Some 9 persons were arrested along with ganja and Yaba pills by the police of Kachua PS from the different places of Kachua Upazila in Bagerhat district in the last week. On the other hand one person was arrested on the charge of inducing his wife to commit suicide in the week.
It is learnt from the police that Md. Kawsar Ali (39), son of one Md. Mujibor Rahman Shaikh of village Fultala (from the village) on Friday morning (at 10 am), Billal Hossain (37), son of one Farid Mia of the same village, Rasel Shaikh (27) son of her one Jahangir Shaikh of village Raghunathpur under Najirpur Upazila in Pirojpur district from Boyarshinga Cluster village area (under Kachua Upazila) at Thursday night (at 8 pm), Mirajul Kazi (27) son of one Habibur Kazi of Tengrakhali Cluster village from the old ferry ghat area near Kachua Upazila Health Complex on Wednesday evening, Hasan Shikdar alias Tapu (36) , son of one Khalilur Rahman of village Jobai, Selim Shaikh (28), son of one Khalilur Rahman of the same village at Wednesday night, Zahidul Islam alias Bappi Talukdar (38), son of one Jahangir Talukdar of village Gazalia, Mashiur Rahman alias Putul (42), son of one Abdul Aziz Shaikh at Monday night, and Omar Faruk alias Gaffar Mallik (27), son of one Abul Kader Mallik of village Madartala on Sunday.
