A man was killed and 10 others were injured in a clash between two groups of people over coronavirus at Bhabdia under Rajbari Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.
Police also arrested five accused in this connection.
The victim was identified as Lavlu Molla, 48, son of late Wakil Uddin and a resident of Bhabdia.
The incident took place at around 7:00 am after Lavlu Molla and Khalek locked in an altercation over coronavirus.
Swapon Majumdar, Officer in-Charge (OC) of Rajbari Sadar Police Station confirmed the matter to the media and said that after the incident police rushed to the spot and brought situation under control.
The injured were taken to Rajbari Sadar Hospital, said Hospital’s Emergency Department doctor Nahida Sultana.
The body was kept in the hospital morgue, she added.
