The divers of Fire Service and Civil Defence on Wednesday recovered body of a college student, who had earlier gone missing with two others while swimming in the Padma River, at least two kilometers away from the spot.
The deceased is identified as Mahim, 20, son of Shah Alam of Mohammadpur in the capital and first year student of United International University.
However, two others-Supreyo Dhali, 19, son of Nasir Dhali of Mirpur-2 and second year student of Mirpur Commerce College, and Salman Bin Jamal, 19, son of Jamal Uddin of Barabagh area in Mirpur and second year student of Dhaka Monipuri College-are still remained missing.Sub-Inspector Arab Ali of Char Mohammadpur Police Outpost said that divers recovered the body around 9.00 am yesterday morning.
They are continuing rescue operation to find out the rest of the missing people.
At Moinot Ghat in Keraniganj, two college students and their university-going friend went missing while swimming in the Padma River around 5.00 pm on Tuesday.
