Zilani, Liton new president, GS of BCU

Bangladesh Chhatra Union (BCU) on Thursday announced its new 41-member central committee at Mukti Bhaban in the capital.
GM Zilani Shuvo and Liton Nondi became the President and the General Secretary of the committee respectively.
The new committee has seven vice-presidents, three joint general secretaries, an organising secretary, treasurer, eight secretaries and nineteen members.
Ramen Chakrabarti is the new organizing secretary, while Sumon Sen Gupto, Tuhin Kanti Das, Anik Roy, Sheikh Sadi Nur, Mehedi Hasan Nobel, Pradip Barmon and Raisuzzaman are the vice-presidents.
They were picked up on the last day of the four-day 38th National Council that began on April 2 on the Dhaka University campus.
Zilani Shuvo and Liton Nondi were the general secretary and the vice-president respectively of the last committee.
The theme of the council was ‘Let student-people be united to protect education and culture’. Eminent educationist Professor Emeritus Serajul Islam Choudhury inaugurated the four-day programme.
Lucky Akter and GM Zilani Shuvo were the president and the general secretary respectively of the previous committee.
