Zafrullah gets more time to reply ICT-2 notice

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 yesterday set August 9 to submit reply by Gonoswasthya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, accused of committing contempt of court for third time.
The second tribunal on July 12 issued a notice upon Chowdhury asking him to explain as to why the court shall not punish him for committing contempt of court.
The tribunal passed that order, accepting a contempt plea brought against him by fellow freedom fighters Manoranjan Ghoshal, Ali Asgar, Nazrul Islam and Gonojagoron
Manch organizer Kamal Pasha Chowdhury and FM Shahin.
Chowdhury on July 22, managed to get time till yesterday for submit his reply. But yesterday his lawyer Sayeed Ahmed Raza again pleaded for time, citing the absence of his senior Abdul Baset Majumder for illness.
Accepting the plea of Chowdhury, the second tribunal set August 9 for submitting his reply.
